On Thursday 6th of March 2014 St. Matthew’s R.C. High school went on a trip to Waterstones for World Book Day.
When we first arrived at Waterstones I thought it looked very impressive as nothing looked out of place or messy. It was very organised and there were many shoppers due to it being World Book Day. They had a wide-range of books from sci-fi, dark romance, comics, to football. There was a small study room where people studied for college and university. One the second floor we found travel, history and politics books. After we had had a little look around we did some art work our challenge was to draw a melting witch from the ‘Wizard of OZ’ it was fun and very enjoyable for all. Next we did a quiz it was very difficult and challenging but we all managed to complete it, eventually. We were given goody bags for being well behaved and completing the quiz so we were all very proud of ourselves. To end our trip we were all given two World Book Day vouchers so we could choose our own books it was very good because we got the opportunity to pick a book we liked from the World Book Day section. It was a brilliant experience and we all really enjoyed it. I will definitely go back again.
